I ordered a bunch of cabinet pulls from Lowe's and I thought it would be interesting to calculate how much I saved by using every single trick I know.  Turns out I saved $125 on a $459 order, that's a huge 27% savings.  You can do it too, it just takes a little patience and know-how.

First of all, I may or may not have pulled a similar coin scheme with pool tables back in the day.  In yet another example of how out of control the federal government is, their idiotic rules got Richard Eggers fired for a petty crime he committed 49 years ago.  Meanwhile, banking executives commit fraud as part of their company's business models, write corporate checks to settle the charges, and then take home multi-million dollar paychecks and are never held accountable.  Real fair.

You cheapskates you there (that's me) might want to head over to Staples by August 4 and buy the Staples 8.5 x 11 Multipurpose Paper (500 sheets).  Staples is selling the paper for $6.99 and running a rebate promotion for $5.99 per purchase, which makes the cost of their paper $1 + tax.  You're limited to two rebates per household, so you can't stock up on too much paper unfortunately.
